The challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but not folly. – Jim Rohn
This quote pretty much sums up for me what I’ve learned about my own leadership hopes for the future. The take away for me in listening and reflecting with my fellow Cohort II crew in our Leadership & Governance course is to find the balance between the 3 C’s of Jesuit education…competence, conscience, and compassion. Managing change and leading people is about the delicate balancing of systems, people, and self.
