Please help my friend, Sr. Gloria Billimont, MMB, a Chuukese nun from the Mercedarian Sisters of Berriz (MMB) and her students at Saramen Chuuk Academy (SCA) – meaning, Light of Chuuk Academy – a Catholic high school located in my home state of Chuuk, Federated States of Micronesia. Sr. Gloria and I have been friends since my Jesuit years.
Her simple request is to build up a library of DVD movies focusing on the lives of saints that she and her colleagues at SCA can use as part of their teaching tools. If you have used DVDs or want to purchase a DVD for this project, please read below.
How to Help
Option 1 (preferred) – Purchase new or pack up your used saintly DVDs and mail them directly to Sr. Gloria Billimont, MMB at Saramen Chuuk Academy, PO Box 67, Chuuk, FM 96942. Feel free to include a note of your prayer intentions or email her directly at globilmmb@yahoo.com.
Option 2 (OK) – Go online to your favorite Catholic store such as www.catholiccompany.com ($14.95 – $24.95) purchase a DVD of your favorite saint(s), but have the company ship directly to me in Hawaii (Vidalino Raatior, PO Box 11301, Hilo, HI 96721) or send me your used DVD. Iʻll ship them internationally to Sr. Gloria. Note: this is not an endorsement of this company.
Option 3 (IF you have to) – Because itʻs harder and more expensive for Sr. Glo to purchase and ship items to Chuuk, Iʻm willing purchase the DVDs for you. Simply send me the money (any amount – cash, check, money order, money gram, paypal, square cash, etc) with instructions on your favorite saint(s). Iʻll order the DVDs and ship them out to Sr. Gloria on your behalf.
Sisterʻs Promise
Sr. Gloria promises that she and her students will pause to remember you in their prayers when they show a film you sponsor. Each DVD will have the donorʻs name printed on it.
